American Hearing Aid Centers provides thorough hearing evaluations with realistic expectations. Patients are under no obligation and leave with a full understanding of their hearing needs.

We make house calls, work with assisted living communities, have a trade in policy and even make financing available. Our friendly atmosphere and firm belief that the patient is top priority, motivates us to do all that we can to earn your trust.

Our goal is to provide the best possible hearing care, based upon your individual needs. The main focus of our practice is the fitting of hearing aids. The components of a good hearing aid evaluation and fitting are as follows:

  • A complete audiological evaluation is required to determine if a hearing loss exists, and if that loss needs medical attention.
  • Discussing options is an important component of the evaluation. Hearing aids are not always the best solution.
  • Needs assessments help determine features that a hearing aid should have, if one has been recommended.
  • Your personal preferences will be addressed.
  • Real-Ear Measurement is a technique we use to fit hearing aids. We measure the performance of the hearing aid in the ear using a small tube inserted into the canal, which is attached to a microphone. This allows us to develop a prescription, and to program the hearing aid accordingly.
  • Follow up visits are important to fine tune the hearing aid fit, and to make adjustments for the correct sound balance.
  • Regular visits for check-ups will ensure that the hearing aid fit  remains  correct.

An audiological evaluation determines if hearing loss exists.

Our services are not only for people with hearing problems. The clinic offers custom-made hearing protection for hunters, people who work in noisy environments, and others. In addition, custom-made in-the-ear monitors are available for musicians, as well as custom-fit earpieces for hands-free cellular phone operators. Our custom-made swim molds are popular with children and adults who enjoy swimming and going to the beach, and they help to prevent ear infections by keeping water from entering the ear canal.
